An Electronic Image Stabilizer (EIS) reduces camera shake when recording.

High resolution widescreen
The CCD employed in the DC220 allows you to capture eye-catching true widescreen video. Frame and review your movies using the 2.7" widescreen LCD or the 0.27" 16:9 colour EVF (Electronic Viewfinder).

DIGIC DV II
Record a video and capture a digital photo simultaneously with the super-fast DIGIC DV II processor. Originally developed for use in Canon’s High Definition (HD) camcorders, advanced noise reduction technology results in higher image quality. DIGIC DV II’s split path processing means pictures and movies have vivid true-to-life colours.
